Who we are

Roam Star provides prepaid travel eSIMs and related top-ups. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@roamstar.net.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to provide the service, including your email address, account details, order and payment references, eSIM identifiers such as ICCID, provisioning and usage information, support messages, and technical information such as IP address, device, browser and security logs. Stripe handles card details; Roam Star does not receive or store your full card number.

How we use your information

We use personal information to create and manage your account, take payment, provision and support eSIMs and top-ups, send transactional emails, prevent fraud, keep the service secure, comply with legal obligations and improve reliability.

Our lawful bases

We mainly process information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as fraud prevention, security and service improvement. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time.

Who receives information

We share only what is necessary with service providers including Stripe for payments, Supabase for account and database services, Resend for email delivery, Vercel for hosting and operational logs, and eSIM Access and its network partners for eSIM provisioning. We may also disclose information where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Order, payment and accounting records are normally retained for up to six years to meet tax, legal and dispute requirements. Account, eSIM, support and security information is reviewed and deleted or anonymised when no longer required.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer of your information. You may also withdraw consent. Email hello@roamstar.net to make a request. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you are unhappy with how we handle your information.

We may update this policy when the service or law changes. The latest version will always appear on this page.
